What is a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)?
WABA stands for WhatsApp Business Account. It's the container inside your Meta business portfolio that holds the phone numbers you use on the API, your message templates and the payment method for Meta's charges.
How the pieces fit
- Business portfolio (Meta Business Manager) → one or more WABAs.
- Each WABA → one or more phone numbers.
- Templates belong to a WABA, so a template approved in one account isn't automatically available in another.
- Meta bills messaging to the payment method of the WABA.
