How to get WhatsApp templates approved

On the official API, templates are how you start conversations and reach people after 24 hours. Approval depends mostly on clarity and the right category.

Choose the right category

• Marketing: offers, capture and commercial relationship.
• Utility: updates about something the customer already requested.

Write it well

• Clear purpose in the first line.
• Variables in sequence ({{1}}, {{2}}…) with realistic samples for Meta's review.
• No misleading content, no requests for sensitive data.
• Optional header (text, image, video or document), footer and buttons (quick reply, link or call).
