How to import contacts from a spreadsheet

Most businesses start with a spreadsheet of customers. Importing it correctly avoids duplicates and broken phone numbers.

Prepare the file

• Use CSV or XLSX. Old XLS files should be saved again as XLSX.
• One contact per line, with at least a phone number; name and email are optional.
• Include the country code in phone numbers (for example +1, +52, +34).
• Remove empty lines and obvious duplicates before importing.

Import in Veylo

In Customers, choose Import CSV/Excel. Veylo reads the header, normalizes numbers and skips duplicates of contacts already in your base. Imported contacts can be cleared in one action if you need to redo the import.

Before messaging them

Only message people who agreed to hear from you. Use broadcasts with pacing and, on the official API, approved templates — and let Veylo check which numbers exist on WhatsApp first.
