How to schedule WhatsApp messages

Scheduling lets you write the message when you have time and send it when it matters — a reminder the day before, a follow-up after a proposal, a greeting at opening time.

What can be scheduled

• Text, audio recorded in the browser, images, videos and files.
• Presentations from the catalog, with text and attachments.
• Several scheduled messages per contact, each shown on the contact's profile.

How it works

Inside the conversation, choose Schedule, pick the date and time, and add the content. Scheduled messages can be edited or canceled until they go out. If a message fails, it's marked so the team can reschedule.

Official API rule

If the 24-hour window has closed when the scheduled time arrives, a free-form message can't be delivered on the official API; use an approved template instead.
